The DIPPIN set is made out of food grade (18/8) Stainless Steel which also means that the DIPPIN set is dishwasher safe. I’m a Stainless Steel fanatic so I prefer to wash it and dry it by hand to extend the life of that beautiful like new shine. The big bowl holds 50 ounces, and the smaller one 1.7 ounces. It takes about 4 to 5 full tablespoons to fill the smaller bowl. The set is very sturdy. When transporting the DIPPIN bowl, I find myself holding it by the curve that elevates the smaller bowl, it is that strong.
In my household we have been using it only for chips and salsa, or pretzels and cheese dip but it can be use for so many things and occasions. I keep saying I want to do a fruit salad for the big bowl, and add some yogurt or chocolate dip to the small bowl. It could even be a nice center piece when its not on use just by adding some decor; The possibilities are endless! While for others the set might seem a bit too small, it definitely works for our small gatherings, and for our family of three. If I could give it more stars, I would!
