Cartoon Cash Coin Bank with Password, Minion Style, by HJIAN

We love Halloween so much that came up with the idea that the Pumpkin King (Jack Skellington) brings a gift on the night of October 31st because he works with Santa, so that is how they check the progress of the “good list”. Do not judge us! Our toddler loves the idea, and it is our family’s very own tradition. The gift the Pumpkin King brings does not need to be nothing fancy (or expensive), and this year he is leaving this super cool Minion looking piggy bank.

The three AA battery operated toy bank is fairly big, we had imagined it way smaller but we are happily surprised by its size; It is about 7.7 x 5.3 x 4.9 inches. It is made out hard plastic, and the Minion details (like the eyes) are painted and part of the color of the bank (not a cheap sticker!). It is pretty cool, and we are sure the kiddo will simply love it. It has a slot at the top big enough for bills as well as coins. It has a nice number pad with rubber buttons that allows to set the password for the bank, and, obviously, it is also used to open the bank. The password for it is 0000, and it will be that every time the coin bank is reset (batteries replaced or removed) which is convenient in case the password is forgotten. It also comes with an instructions booklet which is very useful as it has the information about the password, and how to set it up which is pretty simple. The door of the bank even has a knob for opening and closing the door, we know our son will simply love his new “piggy” bank because he likes all those little gadgets. In addition, on top of the keyboard there are LED lights that turn when entering the password, and alert of wrong combinations and so on.

We like the bank but have to alert others, it is loud: LOUD. We tried setting up the piggy bank before giving it to our son but we were not expecting all the noises. How bad was it? We tried it after our son went to bed, and it was loud enough to wake him up. We were reprimanded by a very tired toddler who accused us of not letting him sleep. So, if you or your child are noise sensitive take our failure into consideration. Other wise, the Minion bank looks pretty neat, and we know all like it. Our son is trying to remember phone numbers, so this password operated bank will also be used as a learning aid to help him figure out how to remember specific numbers.
