Adult Coloring Book: Butterflies and Flowers Stress Relieving Patterns by Megan Ellis

My adult coloring book addiction began about a year ago, and has no signs of stopping anytime soon. It has become my hiding place, my adult time out of choice, because I’m able to disconnect my thoughts from anything that might be causing me stress at the time. I enjoy all sorts of books; From intricate designs to simple and easy ones. This book by Megan Ellis lies right in between.

The book has fifty unique designs, and it is printed on single pages which is perfect for those of us who enjoy coloring with gel pens. As the name suggests all its designs revolve around butterflies and flowers. Some pages are simple, others have the perfect mix, and others are a bit convoluted with smaller details. The pages of this book are not perforated, and the designs cover the whole page which can be a bit of an inconvenience to those of us who do not like to remove the pages from the coloring books. The quality of the paper I would compare it to regular (multipurpose) white printing paper. Some colored pencils work perfect with the paper, others did not do so good but that was no issue as I'm lucky enough to have several sets and was able to find one that is to my liking.

Overall, since the designs vary from complicated to simple this book has become my night time go to book. Whenever I just want to color for a bit before going to bed, I take out this book and it does the job of unwinding my mind. It is a beautiful book that, for me, screams unconventional bright color combinations which I find to be fun.
