Classic Sock Monkey by Maven

My four year old son has always been fascinated with Curious George, and that has caused for him to be a big fan of sock monkeys as well. He has a small collection of both variations of the monkeys which he loves. When I showed him his new sock monkey by Maven, he was immediately in love. The sock monkey has been named, Georgie (Wonder why?!) and now sleeps with my son in his bed at night.

This sock monkey looks like the traditional one with a few differences. It is twenty inches long, very soft and nicely stuffed. It is super cute. It has a pom pom on top of his head, and one on the front like if it was a bow-tie. My son did not care much for the bow-tie, and figured out a way to remove it. Since the monkey sleeps next to him, he said that it was tickling his face so he removed it and only left a string of the yarn which is glued to the monkey and used to hold the hold pom pom in place.

Overall, the sock monkey looks well made. It is super soft, and cuddly. Personally, I would not give this monkey to a child younger than the age suggested as the eyes (buttons) and pom poms are glued to the monkey and could come off if they persist in removing it, exactly like my son was able to remove the bow-tie pom poms; The glue seems very strong but experience tells me that children can be very persistent. My son really likes his new monkey, and has had it in his bed since I gave it to him.
