Our good friends were thrilled when we gave them the BellyBuds as their early baby shower present. They are first time parents who are thrilled about the adventure ahead. The
BellyBuds comes with an audio splitter, two pairs of adhesives, and a free digital album download. The use of it is said to promote brain development using music; It works by attaching the headphones to the belly using the
adhesives provided. It can be used from the most common music applications of players. It works with iOS and with Android devises without any issues; We tried it on both phones without any issues. While we don’t picture
our friends going out and about with the buds on, if they wanted it would be possible without drawing too much attention as it can be used under the baggy clothing (otherwise it would be noticeable). The cord has a volume
control with two options: Pre which is for music, and Post which plays at a higher volume and is for voices; The volume can be adjusted from the device its plugged too. After the baby is born (or before) the headphones can
be use as speakers, granted it will not be loud but it has a good sound for at least creating a nice ambiance. The belly phones do not required any batteries, it works pretty much like a regular set of wired headphones. Also,
with the provided splitter you can listen to the music at the same time as the baby which we thought it was a very nice touch.
Overall, our friends love their BellyBuds. The Mom to be told us how she is always playing
classical music for the baby because she read about its wonders. We recommended not to forget to play some, “Coconut” by Harry Nilsson, it was our son’s favorite in belly song and still is. It is very simple to use,
and the benefits from the experience are amazing for the development. One last thing, our friends do not use the adhesive strips because of their health concerns and whatnot, instead Mom uses a soft, and a bit loose elastic
fabric around her belly and simply places the headphones between the belly and the fabric.
