We had been toying around with the idea of an IP camera for the inside of our house after seeing in the news how useful an IP camera can be when it comes to security. This IP camera need to be setup to the local network; It can be monitored remotely using a mobile application. The camera comes with the mounting hardware needed to mount it on a wall or the ceiling. It has excellent night vision that activates automatically when lights go off. The camera moves 270 degrees. It can record video when in use but it requires a microSD memory card which is not provided. It has a 720p which provides great images, even used with night vision.
For best use, and results the mobile application should be used.; Its setup is very easy and user friendly. The user can talk to the mobile application which can broadcast the audio through the camera, it also has a microphone that captures audio in the room. It is important to mention that we have only used the mobile application on our Android smartphones, and we have not had any issues. The application also allows the capture of images, zooming in, and panning. The mobile application also allows for a motion alarm to be set that will notify when there is motion in the room. The sensitivity of the motion can be adjusted easily which in our case is perfect as we have cats that are always moving around the house. It also has a 30 feet night vision capabilities.

Altogether, we are very impressed by the performance of this IP camera. It was easy to set up, and it has responded as expected every time we check on it. After some talk we decided to place it on the ceiling of our son’s bedroom to keep an extra eye on him while he sleeps without bothering him or when one of us is not home. The best part, for us, is that we are able to talk to him in real time and hear his responses no matter where we are. There is nothing we would change about it as it works perfectly, and provides all the options we had hope. It definitely brings a piece of mind to us as parents.
