With fall just a few days away, it was time to refresh the look of our living room. This time we decided to add some blackout curtains to block some light out. We get migraines, and bright light only gets the pain to feel worse. We used to retrieve to the bedroom whenever migraines showed up but with a toddler that is no longer an option.

This set of two 84 inches long panels blocks out 80% of light, so do not expect the room to be in complete darkness because it will not happen. It dims the light enough for the room to be comfortable. These curtains are heavyweight but well supported by its 8 metal (brushed nickel) grommets (each panel).  The fabric used is 100% Polyester. The floral design feels silk like to the touch. The back of the panels are a negative image/design of its front. We love how the back looks from outside the house, its like having two looks in one. Another thing we like about these panels is that it helps with our quest to have an energy efficient household. The craftsmanship of the curtains is impeccable, we have not seen any loose threads, and its stitching is neatly done.

Altogether, we like how elegant these panels look. It has been shocking how these curtains have changed the look and overall feeling of our living room. Now it feels like a sophisticated room. Its earth tones combine beautifully with all the surroundings of our living room. These panels look better than what we had expected.
